Ehkäisevä päihdetyö EHYT ry launched a Helpline in Arabic and Somali. This telephone service is for anyone with problems related to substance abuse and gambling.

Lines are open on Thursdays from 2pm to 6pm. (Free of charge for the caller)

Arabic language service tel. 0800 955 20
Somali language service tel. 0800 955 22

The telephone attendants are professionals from the health, social educational fields. Anonymity is a key part of the service. We don’t see the caller’s number on the phone subscription, nor does the caller know who he/she is talking to. The emergency officers have an absolute duty of confidentiality regarding the contents of the calls and the call is not recorded.
