OUR STORY

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Association SAMHA RY was founded in 2009 by immigrants, for immigrants. SAMHA was created with the intention to close the gap between the services people need, and those who are often left out. With over ten years of experience in helping the community we are dedicated to educating about mental health and substance abuse. We firmly believe in encouraging successful integration, confidence building, and ensuring that no one feels left behind.

How do we do it?

For over ten years we have been counseling and coaching clients in our community. We work closely with local high schools and universities to educate our community about important topics surrounding mental health and substance abuse. We help by empowering people with the knowledge and tools to navigate the system and cope with their daily life challenges which can affect their wellbeing. We help to address stigmas, and to help build confidence in individuals and groups, and support their journey to a better life.
